A twelve-month warranty on the function comes with every device from us. So that you know exactly where you stand if something happens, we explain scope, exclusions and the process in a warranty case here.
What the warranty covers
Covered is the function of the repaired remote in normal use. If the device fails due to a functional fault within twelve months of the shipping date, we inspect it and fix the defect free of charge. This applies to the electronics, buttons and all components checked during refurbishment.
What is not covered
Excluded is damage from external impact and improper use, above all water damage, drop and breakage damage. Normal wear items such as batteries are also not covered by the warranty. We do of course repair such damage against charge.
How to report a warranty case
Contact us by phone or email and briefly describe the behaviour of the device. Often the cause can be narrowed down on the phone, for example when only the batteries are weak. Otherwise you send the device in, we inspect it and get back to you with the result.
Frequently asked questions
When does the warranty period start?
From the shipping date of your device. You automatically have proof with the invoice and shipping confirmation.
Does the warranty lapse when the device is opened?
Tampering with the device counts as improper use and endangers the claim. Therefore have repairs carried out by us.
What does the inspection cost in a warranty case?
If there is a covered functional fault, inspection and repair are free for you. If an excluded damage turns out to be the cause, we prepare a fair quote in advance.
