The Meiller ISAR 3 is built for the rough everyday life on construction sites. With a few simple measures you extend its lifespan and avoid premature defects.

Protect from moisture

Penetrating moisture is one of the most common causes of defects. Store the remote in a dry place, do not expose it to rain unnecessarily and dry it carefully after getting wet. If you see corrosion on the contacts, the device should be checked.

Handle batteries correctly

Use high-quality batteries and replace them in good time:

  • Always change all batteries at once – never mix old and new
  • Remove spent batteries immediately to prevent leakage
  • Take the batteries out when not in use for a longer period

Cleaning & storage

Clean the housing with a dry or slightly damp cloth – no aggressive cleaners or solvents. Store the remote protected, for example in the cab or a bag, to avoid drops.

When you should send the device in

If the ISAR 3 responds unreliably despite new batteries, shows corrosion or drop damage, a check is worthwhile. We repair and deliver a tested replacement – send in your old device and get the deposit back.

Frequently asked questions

Can I clean the ISAR 3 with water?

No. Use only a dry or slightly damp cloth. Direct water contact and aggressive cleaners can penetrate the housing and damage the electronics.

What to do if the remote got wet?

Remove the batteries, dry the device carefully and let it dry completely before using it again. In case of malfunction or corrosion, send it in for a check.
