In summer tippers work non-stop, and with them the radio control. Direct sun, heat in the cab and fine site dust are the three stresses that affect the device the most.

Heat: the underestimated factor

Behind the windscreen of a parked vehicle, summer temperatures rise to levels that strain plastic and batteries heavily. Batteries drain faster and in extreme cases can leak. Therefore store the remote in the shade of the cab, for example in a storage compartment, never on the dashboard.

Dust in buttons and gaps

Fine dust from demolition and earthworks settles into button gaps and under the joystick. Over time the controls become stiff or stick. A dry cloth and a soft brush after dusty days keep the controls smooth, with no risk at all to the electronics.

If summer has left its marks

Sticking buttons, a sluggish joystick or a device that reacts unreliably after hot days: these are signs that dust or heat have already caused damage. During refurbishment we clean the device from the inside, renew worn controls and test all functions.

Frequently asked questions

Does direct sun harm the ISAR 3?

Constant direct sun heats the housing strongly and strains batteries and plastic. Briefly that is uncritical, but for storage the device belongs in the shade.

May I blow out dust with compressed air?

Better not directly at gaps and buttons, as that drives fine dust further inside. A cloth and a soft brush are the safe choice.

The buttons jam after summer, what helps?

If the dirt sits under the keypad membrane, only professional cleaning from the inside helps. Send the device in, we refurbish it and return it fully tested.
