The display shows status information of the tipping control. If it stays dark or shows error codes, that is often a warning sign of an electronic problem. We explain what can be behind it.
Rule out the simple causes first
Weak batteries are the most common cause of a dark or flickering display. First replace all batteries and check the contacts for corrosion. Only if the display stays dark despite fresh batteries is there a deeper problem.
Reading error codes correctly
Some displays report concrete states of the control, for example an interrupted link to the receiver unit on the vehicle. Note the displayed code and under which conditions it appears. This information helps us narrow down the fault faster.
Repairing the display unit
Faulty displays, loose connectors and damage to the driver circuit can be repaired. We test the complete radio remote, fix the cause and return the device ready for use. With the exchange system it is even faster.
Frequently asked questions
Does the ISAR 3 still work with a broken display?
Partly yes, but you lose important status indicators and error messages. Since a display fault often points to a larger electronics problem, you should have the device checked.
What does a flashing display mean?
Flashing can indicate weak batteries, an interrupted connection or an internal fault. Replace the batteries first. If the flashing remains, send the device in for diagnosis.
Can the display be replaced?
Yes, in many cases the display unit can be repaired or replaced. After the repair you get a twelve-month warranty on the function.
