Electronic waste is a growing problem, also in the commercial vehicle sector. Yet a faulty radio remote usually contains a lot of working technology. Our deposit and buy-back system keeps exactly this technology in circulation.
What is inside a remote
The housing, board, radio module and controls of an ISAR 3 are designed for years of hard use. If a single component fails, the rest remains fully usable. During refurbishment we specifically replace what is defective and keep everything that works, saving material and energy compared with new production.
The deposit system as a cycle
Every ordered device is tied to a 200 euro deposit that you get back in full when returning your old device. Additional old devices we buy at 50 euros each. That way no device ends up in the bin, each one comes back to the workshop and, after refurbishment, back into service.
Sustainable and still economical
Sustainability does not have to cost extra: at 450 euros net the refurbished device is well below the price of a new unit, with a twelve-month warranty and delivery in one to three business days. Conserving resources and economic sense go the same way here.
Frequently asked questions
Are all old devices really reused?
Every device sent in is inspected. Whatever can be refurbished goes back into service, from the rest we recover spare parts. Only what is truly unusable is disposed of, and that properly.
Is a refurbished device worse than a new one?
Functionally no: every device passes a full test before shipping and comes with a twelve-month warranty on the function.
Does this also count for the environmental record of our company?
