No pairing mode, no new link: if the procedure does not even start, it fails at the sequence, the receiver side or the transmitter itself. Here is how to approach it systematically.
The sequence decides
Pairing mode requires an exact sequence with sometimes tight time windows that differs by version. Work through the steps from the Meiller manual one after another without haste, a rushed or skipped step is the most common reason for the false start.
Getting the receiver unit ready
The receiver unit needs power and must be able to enter pairing readiness, so check ignition and fuses. If it does not react to the pairing command at all, the vehicle side belongs in a specialist workshop.
If the transmitter does not cooperate
With empty batteries or faulty electronics the remote cannot send the pairing sequence. Insert fresh cells and try again, if it still fails we check the device in the workshop and supply a tested replacement if needed.
Frequently asked questions
How long may pairing take?
The actual procedure takes only a few minutes. If you need much longer, a second look at the step sequence in the manual pays off.
Can I break something while pairing?
No, the procedure can be repeated as often as you like and damages nothing. Just secure the vehicle before you begin.
A new device cannot be paired, is the device to blame?
On our replacement devices the function is tested in advance, so usually the sequence is off or the receiver side is stuck. Call us and we go through the steps together.
