Like any electronic device, a radio remote can end up in an undefined state. A simple restart fixes some faults in seconds. Here you read how to proceed and how to recognise a real defect.

The simple restart

Remove the batteries, wait about a minute and insert them again. This fully discharges the electronics and restarts them cleanly. This step costs nothing and surprisingly often fixes sporadic dropouts or a frozen display.

When new pairing is needed

After a reset or factory reset of the receiver unit on the vehicle, transmitter and receiver must be paired again. The exact procedure is in the Meiller manual of your system. If you have questions about commissioning, we help by phone.

If the reset does not help

If the fault remains after a restart and correct pairing, there is usually a hardware defect, for example in the board, buttons or antenna. Then only a repair helps. Through our exchange system you get a tested replacement device within one to three business days.
